Digital Collage

I love the vintage look of this digital collage! I also find the face coming out/separated from head very interesting! The floral in this photo definitely complements this artwork!

Spaceman

I decided to post these photos and leave a link to the artist because of the idea he shows. I love the thought of an astronaut in urban environments. I also like how he uses light to make the astronaut stand out on the image. To look at more of his images just follow this link: Ken Hermann

Banksy

Banksy is my favorite street artist and has my favorite style of street art. His art shows problems in our society on structures throughout cities around the world. These are my favorite two of his pieces.
Check his page out http://banksy.co.uk/ or just look him up on google to see what he has done. He is also featured on a great movie called Exit Through the Gift Shop. (It's on Netflix)

Shot-For-Shot Movie Trailer

The last 2 weeks we have been working on a movie trailer. The trailer my group is doing is High School Musical. Our objective is to create a shot for shot video of the trailer.

Eerie Photography

This.

I don't care if you don't like furries, this is some serious talent.

Blizzard

I felt like this picture was appropriate with winter quickly approaching. I love how it looks as if the snow is coming directly at you. It shows how insane and unpredictable weather can be. Its really cool this photographer got to capture that.

With Halloween literally tomorrow, dissect the history of horror. From it's roots deep in Gothic literature, through B-movie status and director's proving grounds to ultimate respectability as an important filmmaking genre. And trust me, it's worth watching the entire thing.

PERMEKE LIBRARY MURAL

I did a big trippy colourful musical mural during The Big Draw festival in Antwerp at the Permeke Library. Loads of details, some Beatles references and an unintentional Keith Haring vibe went into it. Man that was fun. Would love to do more murals in countries over the world. Let me know if you can help me with that.

KRACHTVOER (VISUAL FESTIVAL REPORTER)

I was part of the visual festival reporter team at KRACHTVOER last weekend together with great artist friends Frederik van den Stock, Charlotte Dumortier and Wide Vercnocke. A wonderful festival for foodies in Antwerp. From fermented and pickled stuff to apple tastings, vegetables turned into music instruments, lectures about food photography, Polish dumplings, making your own sausages and more. It was glorious.

Because people suck and sometimes you have to make art about it

I like things that don't look like art (but feel like art)
You know how sometimes you look at a person and you know they aren't some magnificent well know thing, but you think they're a God anyway; kind of like that
Since Halloween is so close I thought I would post this mechanical looking pumpkin! I really like it because it looks real and that someone could possibly live in it.

So, I found this and I really like it. This kinda just sends a chill down your spine but at the same time is gorgeous art. More here > https://www.behance.net/tavomontanez

Concentration

Hey guys, so my concentration for AP is hair while incorporating crowns into each image. I'm also using hints of watercolors. These are my first two images. let me know what you think

I love how all the changes are showed
in one simple picture.
I felt it fit with the season and shows
the color change we see today.
I like how you can create art out of anything.

Simplicity.

Ola

Its your local friendly feminist, kgay here. I love what this piece is saying, it speaks leaps and bounds to me. I love the text that the artist wrote over the photograph. Not only does the photograph speak to me but also the words just add to the emotion. ok thats all I have to say. I hope you enjoy it in the same way that I do, my dear friends.

this weeks language is Aragonese

Wormholes

Hi. I  thought these photographs were really interesting to look at. I like the similar color scheme and the fact that there is a "wormhole" in each photograph. It's different that it is an original landscape photo but they are all the same in the same sense.

Super cool surreal underwater photos!

Must have been pretty dang difficult to get these shots but they look awesome so well worth the effort in my opinion.

Pencil sculptures

pencil-carving-by-cerkahegyzo-3
I stumbled upon a new kind of art I never knew existed. Carving lead pencils to make tiny sculptures. I can't imagine the time and precision it must take to create these mind bottling works of art. These are do by a Hungarian artist named Cerkahegyzo. You can see more of his sculptures here.

FALL PHOTOGRAPHY

fall equinox
I think Fall photography is so beautiful.  I really like how the photographer made the effect that the wind is blowing the leaves out of the person's hands. The blurred background really makes you focus on the leaves and makes them stand out better.
