Animated version of the logo I made for Antwerp improv theatre group SWAAJP. It's the Dutch phonetic representation of the verb "swipe", referring to the swiping between improv bits. The hand is also symbolic for the city of Antwerp.

UNIQLO COASTER (illustration)
Made a coaster illustration to celebrate the opening of a new store of Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo in Antwerp. Great to collaborate with a company from Tokyo since I visited Japan this year and had a blast. The coasters were spread all over Antwerp.

SUBBACULTCHA MURAL INTERVIEW
Because of the Diego Rivera inspired mural for Mestizo Arts Festival I recently worked on with 4 great illustrators, I was interviewed by Subbacultcha, an independent arts and music magazine. They wanted to know about our favorite murals in Antwerp. I talk about the one designed by comic strip artist Brecht Evens. ( click image to go to the site)

AB HOSTEL ANTWERP (MURAL)
Making of the mural I did for AB Hostel in Antwerp. It used to be a chocolate factory, so I added some references to that, Belgian foods, the city and harbor of Antwerp and of course travelling. Great fun !
The mural was part of “Discover Antwerp Through Experience”-project where 12 international creatives were led through Antwerp for a week. In the animated gif for a few frames in the Light Blue shirt you can spot Paris-based Reynald Feracci helping me out, who has a fashion label called http://mamama-paris.com/.

ANTWERP (ANIMATION)
Made an animated gif to show my love for my hometown, Antwerp. An inspiring, artistic cosmopolitan city with a rich medieval history and big harbor.
The hand is a reference to the origin folk tale of the city where a Roman soldier called Brabo chopped off the hand of an evil giant that controlled the city and threw it in the river.

AFTER SIX FESTIVAL ( TOTE BAG DESIGN )
I'm part of the really cool AFTER SIX FESTIVAL this weekend in the south of Antwerp @ Scheld'apen. 12 Bands and 12 illustrators from all over the globe joined forces. The bands will perform saturday and sunday, while artwork specifically made for the festival will be available in the form of prints, vinyl records and tote bags. You can also purchase it as an "art pack". There's also an exhibition with large paintings. If you are in Antwerp or around, don't miss this !
